You can export your product categories to an .xls file if you want to:
- Create a backup of your product categories
- Edit a Parent Category of multiple sub-categories in a single step using a spreadsheet.
Note: Any changes that you make to the categories in your .xls file appears in your store's Product Category list only after you import your product category .xls file.
To export a product category, follow the below steps:
- Go to the My Products > Product Categories and click the Export Categories button. This prompts to open or save the .xls file with product categories with its Category ID, Category Name and Parent ID.

- Save this file for your further use.
Note: Parent Categories (Main Categories) have zero (0) as their ID value.
